Another cache along the D & H Rails to Trails. The trails are great for hiking, running, biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and just getting away for a while. These are some great Rails to Trails that are not utilized enough. The counsil has been improving sections of the trails over the last few years and are planning to do much more. Eventually they hope the improved trails will reach all the way to New York. The O & W Rail Trail is just on the other side of the river at this point. The 2 trails parallell each other for about 15 miles before they eventually go their own direction.
This is the third bridge on the D&H trail as you enter from the Simpson Trail head.
The terrain is a 2 for the hike. The cache is just off the trail. No need to do any bushwacking or go down towards the river.
