Geocache Description:

The first geocache in a series in the lovely area of Cairnhill in Airdrie. A lovely walk in the forest on a nice day or a quick cache n dash if it's not!

These long established woodlands date back to the mid 1700's when they formed part of the grounds of Cairnhill House. Cairnhill House was destroyed by fire but the Doocot and some outbuildings remain. When the modern housing was built in the 1990's the woodlands were preserved and now form an integral part of the development. The trees in the woods include oak, ash, beech, and sycamore. Patches of bluebell can be seen in the Spring and a variety of wildlife makes use of the woodland setting.

A small click and lock tub with space for swaps. The first lucky seven cachers will receive goody bags that will keep them puzzled for a while (at least three minutes!!!). Everyone else will just have to be content with the delights of the usual geocaching nonsense!!

PLEASE LEAVE EXACTLY AS YOU FIND IT AS THIS IS A HIGHLY MUGGABLE AREA

Congratulations to Mr Andypoo for FTF
