The Connecticut Star series is part of "Stars Across America" with a goal for every state to have a geoart star. This series has 51 geocaches located in
Nathan Hale State Forest .

Consider these prior to your journey:

  • The Connecticut Star series is about a 13 mile loop and takes at least 6 hours.
  • Complete the series in numerical order.
  • Cache containers are Preforms with a log and NOT in stone walls.
  • All caches are hidden in the usual forest manner.
  • Bring water, snacks, bug spray, batteries, sturdy footwear, pen and notepad.
  • Click here for a trail map. Many trails are not shown.
  • Nathan Hale State Forest has no entrance fee, pets on leash are permitted and is open one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.
  • !!! Wear Blaze Orange During Hunting Season !!!
    Hunting season: September 1 through the last day of February.
  • On Sundays from June through October from 10:00 till 2:00, parking near the Nathan Hale Homestead may be difficult due to other activities.
  • Do a "tick check" when leaving.
