Logger's Victory Perch Traditional Cache

Our geocache takes you on and off-roading adventure close to home. People don't have to travel far to get a great experience. Our cache is camouflaged and a fun find. Guarded by a predatory bird our cache will allow people in the neighborhood to go on an exciting and difficult treasure hunt that in the end is very rewarding. You walk down the average sidewalk and then veer into the woods to hunt for a camouflaged cache guarded by a mysterious bird. An overall thrilling and fun cache.

Most people don't commonly see the predatory beast that guards this cache and know even less about him. Here are some fun, quick facts that may help you identify the animal:

• There are around 200 different species of this animal.

• These predators are active at night (nocturnal).

• A group of them is called a parliament.

• Most hunt insects, small mammals and other birds.

• Some species hunt fish.

• They have powerful talons (claws) which help them catch and kill prey.

• They have large eyes and a flat face.

• They can turn their heads as much as 270 degrees.

• They are farsighted, meaning they can’t see things close to their eyes clearly.

Can you guess what creature this is? Look around to find his home and check out the beautiful trees, logs and foilage that are around you. If you're there in mid to late summer then you'll also find some wild raspberries!  This peaceful area so close to town is a Victory of nature. Happy Geocaching!!
