Read's Tower Summit Traditional Cache

The Read's Tower Summit Cache can be found just south of the summit cairn along a small rock wall. Travel to this cache site involves a significant gain in elevation from the trail head, travel up steep trails with numerous loose rocks and roots. Caution is advised at all times on this significant back country hike.

The Read's Tower Summit Cache is a regular sized Rubbermaid container with only a cache note, logbook and a couple of pencils. The cache was placed to mark the many fine summits, lakes and tarns that scene from this spot.

Travel to this summit requires adequate preparation with appropriate hiking gear – shoes, backpack, hat, sunscreen, water (at least 2 litres), snacks.
