Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the bird puzzle series Shelly and I are putting together. Each cache will have a code that you will need to write down in order to find the puzzle. This is a family-friendly series. Shelly and I ( and a few birds), have made some very cool containers and have tried to make them as close to the listed birds natural nesting/habitat as possible. We hope you enjoy listening to and catching glimpses of the beautiful birds out here!

Eastern Bluebirds are the state birds of both New York and Missouri. The male is a flashy blue color. They prefer birdhouses in the dimensions of 5" x 5" x10" and 5' above the ground. They are mellow birds who often get pushed around by the other bird species. Because of that they may build their nest in natural cavities or old woodpecker holes. Since they prefer open, rural areas they tend to make their nests out of grass and plant material. Their food of choice is a nice fat mealworm.

The code for this cache can be located on the inside of the box.

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU BRING BUG SPRAY WITH YOU.
