The Bonnechere River starts its 145 km long journey from Algonquin Provincial Park and empties into the Ottawa River. It was used to transport white pine logs in the 19th century and has several hydro-electric stations along its route.
The cache is located at a point where the Bonnechere River passes under the Butler Road Bridge near the town of Renfrew. This is a quick park and grab but DO NOT park on the bridge. Park about 40 m before the bridge to be safe. Trucks use this road heading to a nearby quarry.
