Geocache Description:

Ah, summer... hot days, blue skies, beautiful country... and weeds!

It's time for us to partner up with the East Kootenay Invasive Plant Council and get rid of some of those invasive plants! The council will give us some information and guidance and then we'll have some work to do.

Day: Saturday, August 8, 2015
Time: 8:00 - 11:00
Location: just south of Jaffray (see driving directions)

Please come dressed for the weather and prepared to be pulling weeds. That means appropriate footwear and clothes for uneven terrain and vegetation!

Please mention in your "will attend" log the number of people you anticipate coming in your group. That will help the coordinator plan the weed pull.

Driving Directions: From highway 3 in Jaffray, turn south onto the Jaffray-Baynes Lake Rd. Immediately after crossing the railroad tracks, turn right. Do not take Atwood Rd, that will dead-end almost immediately. You want the road immediately beside the tracks. The road will parallel the tracks, very close to them, for a period and then veer south. Follow this road to the coordinates. The road is a bit rutted but perfectly passable in a regular low-clearance car.
