Alaskans have the longest vegetable growing season due to extended daylight hours in the summer. Many of us have our own backyard gardens, BUT for those who don't, this place is the next best thing. Local gardeners and farmers take their freshest produce to the market on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays during the summer. Crafts people too, take their unique wares, and there are plenty of things to quench your thirst and appetite.
The cache and parking are located nearby. There are plenty of muggles on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, but they will probably be busy oogling the fresh produce.
All is quiet in the winter. :(
