Twierdza Kołobrzeg #9 - REDUTA MORAST Traditional Cache

Projekt TWIERDZA KOŁOBRZEG to 12 skrytek usytuowanych na trasie Miejskiego Szlaku Fortfikacji (ok. 12 km długości). W celu znalezienia finałowego kesza , należy odszukać 10 skrytek. Osiem z nich zawiera cyfry potrzebne dla określenia współrzędnych, a dwie klucze niezbędne do określenia lokalizacji skrytki Fort Wilczy. Dlatego nieodzowne jest spisanie danych z dziesięciu z nich. Jedna skrytka nie posiada żadnych informacji. Wszystkie kesze oznaczone są numerami wyznaczającymi najdogodniejszą trasę poszukiwań. Stąd też #1 przy oznaczeniu Parku Dąbrowskiego. Reduta Morast (Bagienna ) powstała w latach 1770-1774 na północnym cyplu Wyspy Solnej. Wraz z Fortem Ujście stanowiła kluczowy punkt obronny kołobrzeskiego portu i ujścia Parsęty. W latach 1832-1836 obiekt zmodernizowano. Na cześć jednego z obrońców Kołobrzegu z 1807 roku, chorążego von Schilla reduta została nazwana w XIX wieku Redutą Schilla (Schill Redute). Budowla ma kształt pięcioboku. Składa się z wału ziemnego, ceglanego muru i czterech budynków. W 1945 roku reduty bronili niemieccy marynarze. Był to jeden z najdłużej broniących się bastionów podczas bitwy o Kołobrzeg. Po II wojnie światowej zasypano fosę oddzielającą redutę od strony miasta. Przez wiele lat obiekt był w posiadaniu klubu żeglarskiego Joseph Conrad. Obecnie wokół szańca znajduje się port jachtowy, a zabudowania forteczne zostały zaadaptowane na restaurację i niewielki amfiteatr. Źródło: wikipedia.

Zwiedzanie reduty wewnątrz możliwe jest od godz. 11.00 do ostatniego klienta części restauracyjnej. Polecam spacer wzdłuż basenu jachtowego wokół reduty. UWAGA!!! Miejsce bardzo popularne w sezonie, dlatego zaleca podejmowanie kesza we wczesnych godzinach porannych lub nocą.

The project FORTRESS KOŁOBRZEG is 12 caches located on the route of Municipal Fortification Trail( approx. 12 km long ) . In order to find the final cache , you must find 10 caches . Eight of them contain the numbers needed to determine the coordinates and in two of themthere are keys necessary to determine the location of the cache Fort Wilczy (Wolfsberg) . Therefore, it is essential to write down data from ten of them. One cache does not have any information. All caches are numbered defining the most convenient route of cache search. Hence the Dabrowski Park is labeled as #1. More info in the final cache FORT WILCZY. So have fun !

Redoubt Morast (Swamp) was built between 1770-1774 on the northern tip of the Solna Island. Along with Estuary Fort was a key defensive point Kolobrzeg harbor and the mouth of the Parsęta River. In the years 1832-1836 the object was modernized. In honor of one of the defenders Kolobrzeg to 1807, Ensign von Schill redoubt was called in the nineteenth century redoubt Schill (Schill redute). The building has the shape of a pentagon. It consists of embankment, brick wall and four buildings. In 1945, German sailors defended the redoubt. It was one of the longest defending strongholds during the battle of Kolobrzeg. After World War II the moat was filled separating the redoubt from the city. For many years the property was in the possession of Joseph Conrad Sailing Club. Currently, around the redoubt is yacht harbor and the fortress buildings were adapted into a restaurant and a small amphitheater. Source: wikipedia.

Visting the indoor part from 11.00 until the last customer of the inside eateries. A walk along the yacht dock, around the redoubt is higly recommended. WARNING! The spot is realy crowded, so I'd rather do it out of peak hours.
