The cache is located on the sight of the old Cooktown railway yards the serviced the motor rails that operated the line between Cooktown and Laura between 1888 and 1961 when the line was dismantled. Adelaide st and part of the walking track behind the engines are parts of the original track that stretched all the way down to the wharf.
The cache is a log only so bring your own ink stick.
