This Geoart is part of a Nationwide project:

Our Goal is to have a "50 STATE STAR" in each state of the USA.
Look for the states that proudly display the "STAR" !

Geocaching:

• GC162, Maltese Goldfinche is Iowa's oldest active geocache, placed January 13, 2001.
• Iowa Geocachers Organization is a state-wide organization of geocachers in Iowa.
• Iowa's first mega event occured April 28, 2012 with MOGA 2012 at Lake Rathbun.
• Every fall an Iowa-wide geocaching event called Hike-N-Seek occurs, being hosted at different locations across the state each year.
• The majority of Iowa's geo-art series are placed along the grid-network of gravel roads.
• Most of Iowa's rail-trail bicycle trails have many geocaches placed along them.
