As I headed out looking for my COTD, I realized that i have been driving past this spot for a lot for years. Heading out of town and into the country, you can turn here to get to the freeway lakes, or continue along for destinations south and east. A few people have bounced their cars off of the guardrail on the corner, i don't recommend standing still there.
There is parking nearby, when placing, i parked across the busy street and just watched for traffic. If you choose to grab this cache in the same manner that i placed it, please watch out for the mini cachers, as this is a full speed area (posted 55 mph, so most traffic is pushing 5-10 over) Terrain rating is two, just in case the traffic is thick and fast. Also, as the "depth" of the cache may require a tool for retrieval ~ nothing like finding a cache and not being able to reach it! Don't forget your writing tool... if you've gone to the trouble of fishing this out of its hidey-hole and cant sign, it doesn't count!
