Geocache Description:

PLEASE USE STEALTH MODE WHEN LOOKING AND RETRIEVING FOR THE CACHE.  MAKE SURE YOU REPLACE IT CORRECTLY

The church is part of the Port Elizabeth Church Series, consisting of multiple types of geocaches.

St Hugh's Church was build in 1922 when Canon Mayo, Rector of St Mary's Church started visiting a developing area called Fairview.  The present Mayo Hall was the original church building.  In 1931 St Hugh's became a chapeley of St Mary's.  During 1932 Fairview was renamed to Newton Park whereafter St Hugh's became a separate parish in 1953.

It took 30 years to accumulate enough money to start building the present church structure.  In 1955 the foundation stone was laid.  Above this is a 300 year old stone shaped like a crozier.

The cache is hidden in a place where you will definitely be seen.  Please do retrieve and replace the cache as stealthy as you can.  You will need to BYOP.
