Dedicated to all Cachers who are not afraid of reaching far to find a cache!
Dear Geocachers in this region and all over the world,
with this Cache here at the heights over Portland in Forest Park, Oregon, I would like to pay tribute to all colleagues devoted to advancing this greatest hobby of the world, especially in this region considered to be the Cradle of Geocaching.
During my US-visit in June 2015, coming over from Germany, I took the chance to place this micro cache here together with Goforbroke, who provided best hospitality for me here in Portland. I enjoyed the time very much, and would like to commemorate my stay with this placement dedicated to John and his wife!!
This cache is exactly 8530km, which equals 5300 miles, from my home location. I hope this encourages to go for and place awesome, special, off-the-beaten-track, remote caches like this one far off from Home. Only by establishing the contact to Goforbroke and his help and contribution this cache placement was possible - Thank you so much again!
Hopefully there is some kind of special spirit in this small container inspiring all finders
.
Best regards from Southwest Germany, Northern Black Forest region (a little quite similar to the scenery in Oregon ;-))
Oliver
