The plan is to transform the Ricasoli Industrial Estate into a state-of-the-art information technology and media city on the models of Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City. The project was unveiled on 10 September 2007 by the former Prime Minister of Malta, Lawrence Gonzi. The project will cost at least €275 million. The whole development, which covers an area of 360,000 square metres, is to be fully completed in 2021, although the first offices opened in 2010.
The Geocaching Road Trip ´15 challenge is on!!!.....to earn MEET YOUR ROAD TRIP CREW souvenir...u need to attend some event...but because there is no event in Malta scheduled on this time...i desided to do event myself...specially for local maltese geocachers who dont have time between july & september go abroad but also all geocachers who are happening to be in Malta on holiday this time are more than welcome!!!
I chose locality on the south where no many tourist going so i dont expect too many show up...but is very nice area as i live just 400m from here so i can recommend it... :) we can meet on the top of steps facing the fountain in the middle of the lagoon at 18:00 generaly meet & greet & exchange some trackables & chit chat about our road trip geocaching experiences...those who are going to be here first time u can enjoy watershow of the fountain every 30min specially atractive in the evening with music & lights on 5 different movie sountracks songs...
For those who are in no rush we can go for some drink in local LONDONER pub otherwise it will be minimum 30min event...so if there is more people interested i can even book a table...will see after few logs...i bring the log book when all can physicaly make attendance and we can make some nice group picture...to archive it...so i suggest to wear something geoSMART :)
and because every road trip in Malta eventually ends on the beach....bring some nice beach towel with u :)
To get there with car u can follow road though 3 Cities with nice view of the seashore...or come from Zabbar & Xghajra....If u are without car closest bus option is to take 94 bus from Valletta almost to the last stop...once u will come to seashore in Xghajra just go out & follow the promenade towards north...or 120 bus from Pembroke stopping in St.Julians also to seashore stop "Qassisin"
