BEST Geo-Art: E03/20
Douglassville, Douglass Township, Berks County, PA
St. Gabriel's, founded in 1720, is the oldest established church in Berks County. Originally Swedish Lutheran, St. Gabriel's had deputies at the convention which elected the first Bishop of Pennsylvania, and helped to form The Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States of America. St. Gabriel's Church Cemetery is thought to be the oldest cemetery in Berks County as well.
The firs Bishop of Pennsylvania was...
A. Rev. George White (N 40° 28.776 W 075° 54.363)
B. Rev. Samuel White (N 40° 28.782 W 075° 54.366)
C. Rev. William White (N 40° 28.782 W 075° 54.355)
D. Rev. Zachary White (N 40° 28.782 W 075° 54.344)
Note: Historical Marker located at N 40° 15.447 W 75° 43.733. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
Note: This cache has the hunting attribute selected. Hunters wear orange, and when the time is right, and so should you. During hunting season, it is best to do this series on a Sunday. The majority of the cache containers are hidden within 10 - 20 feet from the trail. Since these caches are hidden in the woods, you will encounter things like wildlife, poison ivy, bugs, ticks, etc. That is just part of geocaching in the great outdoors. Good Luck.
Please note that GC4GQMT - Cache Quest #10: The Final Quest and GC45V8Q - Cache Quest #9 A Questers Pilgrimage were archived to make room for this BEST Geo-Art geocache. Thanks Rentell.
