As I am trying to add more varity to our local area caches, I started asking about Wherigo caches. I got one of my firends form 4 State Geocaching (local group on Facebook) to help me out with this one. (Special shout out to wcsexton for helping on the wherigo side without him this cache wouldn't be available).
For those of you not familar with these particular type of caches there are a few things you need to do first. First you will need to Download the Wherigo App through your device app store (yes it is free), then you will need to download the virtual tour via this LINK. The link is where you will load the wherigo game for your app.
The Tour of the park will start you at the memorial dedication, (if you can't find it, don't worry after downloading the link, it will guide you to the appropriate starting point), and then it will continue to take you to all the cool places around the park that you may or may not have known about.
As this is my very first Wherigo, it is basic, most of the places you can drive by car, some you will have to walk to. I hope that you enjoy this, and please leave me notes of your thoughts. I have a feeling there will be an explosion of these, as you can make them how ever you would like and keep within the Groundspeak saturation limit standards. There is a physical cache at the end of the tour, but you must go through the tour in order to get to the cache. (think of it as a virtual multi-cache which has a physical cache at the end). I wish you good luck and happy hunting
