Geocache Description:

The cache is a short walk from the parking lot into a small field. The container is big enough to hold a few small trinkets. BYOP.

I wish I knew more of the history of this park. It appears to be a deserted lake that is owned and managed by West Milford parks department. A large recreation facility on this property was leased to the West Milford PAL in the mid 90's. The PAL didn't pay the lease and after owing the town over $100,000 in back rent, the town finally evicted them. Now the building sits empty. The park itself is still well maintained and it’s a great spot to have lunch, feed the ducks, or do a little fishing with the kids.
