Geocache Description:

Completed in 2009, the floodplain restoration project in the lower Tolt River was developed between King County and the City of Seattle to enhance salmon habitat by setting back the existing levee to return the river corridor to its natural floodplain. In addition to improving fish habitat, this restoration was meant to improve flood protection to the surrounding Carnation community as well as enhance recreational opportunities.
