Geocache Description:

At the top of Balls Down in Chiddingfold, Surrey. Views over the village and towards the South downs. Quite Steep climb if coming from the village. The original Ballsdown or bust is available to view as an archive. The new box is a large Bon Bon jar. The area has become overgrown over the past few years but the Cache is only 2 paces from the path.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN BALLSDOWN ROAD AS IT IS PRIVATE AND I WOULD NOT WANT TO REMOVE THE CACHE BECAUSE OF RESIDENTS GETTING UPSET WITH CARS VISITING THE CACHE. Park near the church..

Having spent the early part of my childhood in the village it is a place that holds only happy memories and I often return for walks in the fields and woods that surround the place.
Chiddingfold is a very pretty and ancient village with a fine church that looks over a proper village green and pond, Cricket in the summer, Magnificent bonfire event in November and three village pubs, (well one is now a restaurant really), each with its own character.
This cache is just off the footpath at the top of Ballsdown. Please do not try to park in the road at the top as, although it is a right of way, it is a private road.
The cache is a Large Bon Bon Jar suitable for small swapsies, coins tbs etc. It contains the usual log and pencils. Please continue to use the zip lock bags and replace the lid to protect contents.
Good signal for GPS here. Mine was showing an error of up to 18ft.
