This location is special to Mr. Z. When he was a child, he lived just north of here. This cemetery was his backyard and playground. His house was the one with the gazebo. He learned to ride his bicycle on these roads. (He also used to play in graves just after they were dug, and would bring his mother 'treasures' like satin RIP pillows, from graves after funerals were over).
Maybe more importantly, part of the land for the cemetery was his Great-Grandfather's farm. He would sell parts of it when he got older in order to pay for vacations. Three generations of our family have served on the cemetery board. Luther Road was named for him, as well as Bob Street. Other streets in the area, like Caldwell and Maeluth were named after family members.
When you find the cache, Mr. Z's father is buried about 150 feet to the North, and his Grandparents and Uncle are buried about 100 feet to the East.
I've wanted to place a cache her for several years, but didn't know who would be able to grant permission. My uncle, who knows about my Geocaching obsession, and has done a few caches, suggested a location in the cemetery. Since he is on the cemetery board, and agreed to maintain the cache for me, I decided to place it.
