Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the bird puzzle series Kim and I are putting together. Each cache will have a code that you will need to write down in order to find the puzzle. This is a family-friendly series. Kim and I ( and a few birds), have made some very cool containers and have tried to make them as close to the listed birds natural nesting/habitat as possible. We hope you enjoy listening to and catching glimpses of the beautiful birds out here!

The American Goldfinch is a small yellow bird. It is the state bird of Iowa, New Jersey and Washington. It's nest is generally a compact cup of fine grass lined with spiderweb or plant down. They are often found in overgrown fields, pastures, roadsides with shrubs and areas with trees for nesting.  They generally prefer seeds, particularily thistle.

code is on lid of container. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMEDED THAT YOU BRING BUG SPRAY.
