This one is placed as an easy, almost park and grab to help get cachers stoked up on their way in to find other caches in the area. Well -- OK . . . not almost, . . . it is, a park and grab!
I was in the area to find a couple of caches and thought that putting out a "Welcome to . . . " cache might be nice for some chachers who would like to enjoy finding a few in this wonderful area but don't have the time or inclination to hike too far.
So anyway, you won't have to hike at all to find this one. In fact, if you are skilled at parking and hold your GPSr out the window you can get your vehicle within 10 feet of the cache. Still might be a slightly tricky find though -- we shall see.
The container is a film can. Please return it to the same hiding spot, same as found. Generally, I don't care for micros in the wilderness, but it's all I had with me at the time, and it is -- after all -- adjacent to a parking/staging area.
Have fun! The Quincy Lakes area is beautiful and loaded with great hiking, views and caches. A Discover Pass is required for cache seekers (and others) in the Quincy Lakes area.
Be safe, be careful. If traveling alone, let people know where you are going. Take water. Mark the coords of where you park so you can find your way back! Look out for ornery snakes, ticks, poison ivy, nettles and sudden drop offs.
That is all.
!!Congrats Mr. Gadget #2 on FTF!!
