The 'Keep In Touch' or 'KIT' series would proudly like to announce it's first Telephone Graveyard.
It is inevitable. All red telephone boxes know that it is only a matter of time before they are decommissioned and taken away, most likely to be sold for scrap metal. It is a said but harsh reality.
One such place where broken and worn away red telephone boxes go is here in Carlton Miniott. As the pictures demonstrate, these rusty old boxes stand torn of their doors, phones and glass signs, a sign of the passage of time.
But there may still be a chance. From the looks of the back garden and post boxes, the owners of these red telephone boxes may restore them to their former glory. We can only hope that they find their peace.
A big thank you to bikeit and UGGY, two local geocachers, who have agreed to maintain this cache.

Please respect the owners of these phone boxes and their property when passing by as these phone boxes are on private land and I sought permission from the owners to take these pictures.
