Pra' (Prata Veituriorum) è un quartiere del ponente genovese; situato tra Pegli e Voltri, fa parte del Municipio VII Ponente del Comune di Genova, insieme ai quartieri di Pegli e di Voltri.
Pra' è stata sede di importanti cantieri navali, specializzati nella costruzione di brigantini e brigantini a palo, particolarmente apprezzati dagli armatori camogliesi. Si narra che sulla spiaggia di Pra' furono costruite parte delle galee utilizzate da Giulio Cesare per la conquista della Gallia. Le attività di costruzione navali generavano un indotto industriale ed artigianale, specializzato nella costruzione di ferramenta (da cui la via Ferriere di Pra'), corde (da cui la via Cordanieri), e bozzelli (da cui la via Bozzellari). Le attività di costruzione navale sono continuate con successo fino agli anni '80, quando sono state spazzate via dalla costruzione del porto.
Nel 1968 Comune di Genova ed Autorità Portuale di Genova decidono di costruire un Porto Container sul litorale di Pra’. I lavori iniziano nel 1974. È la fine delle meravigliose spiagge che vengono inghiottite senza pietà da una immensa discarica e da lavori di costruzione che durano oltre trent’anni, con gravi disagi per la cittadinanza.
Solo la devastante alluvione del 1993 obbliga le autorità ed enti competenti comunali e portuali a cancellare lo scriteriato progetto iniziale che prevedeva l’interramento totale del litorale prevedendo così un braccio di mare interposto tra l’abitato ed il porto: nascono così, anche a seguito delle vibranti proteste della cittadinanza e del concorso tra forze politiche, religiose, culturali e sociali, la fascia di rispetto, il canale di calma ed il campo per le regate di canottaggio.
La fascia di rispetto è un percorso cementificato lungo 5,6 km al cui interno vi sono diversi spazi verdi.
All'interno della "Fascia di rispetto" sono riaffiorate alcune attività sportive che per molti anni erano rimaste eclissate dal porto ad esempio il canottaggio e la Pallanuoto. Vi sono edificate quattro palazzine di cui due, in legno con copertura in rame, che assumono il nome di "barche" per la loro forma che richiama quella di una barca rovesciata.
Proprio nel canale di calma, si sono svolti i campionati mondiali giovanili di canottaggio nel 2002, e molte altre gare di canottaggio locale.
Nel 2001 viene anche costruito un parco, polmone verde e sfogo per i bimbi e ideale per chi vuole fare jogging.
La cache: situata sulla sponda del porto container appena suprato il ponticello, richiede molta attenzione e dissimulazione. Per raggiungerla parcheggiare in WP1 (parcheggio) e seguite i sottopasso in WP2. Perfavore cercate di non farla cadere e ricollocatela dove e come è stata trovata.

Pra '(Prata Veituriorum) is a district west of Genoa; located between Pegli and Voltri, it is part of the City Hall VII Ponente in Genoa, together with the districts of Pegli and Voltri.
Pra 'was home to important shipyards, specialized in building and brigs brigs at stake, particularly appreciated by shipowners camogliesi. Only the devastating flood of 1993 obliges the competent authorities and bodies and municipal port to clear the reckless initial project which involved the burial of the total coast thus providing a strait located between the town and the port: thus, even after the strong protests of the citizenship and the competition between political forces, religious, cultural and social, the buffer zone, the channel of calm and the field for its rowing regattas.
The buffer zone is a 5.6 km long cemented path in which there are several green spaces.
Within the "range than" re-emerged a few sports that for many years, had been eclipsed by the port for example rowing and water polo. There are four buildings built of which two, in wood with copper cover, taking the name of "boats" for their shape which is reminiscent of an overturned boat.
Right in the channel of calm, they took place the youth world championships rowing in 2002, and many other local canoe races.
In 2001 it also built a park, green space and outlet for the kids and for those who want to jogging.
The cache: located on the shores of the container port just pass the bridge, requires a lot of attention and dissimulation. Parking the car in WP1 (PArking) and follow the underpass (wp2) to the sea. Please let try not to drop it and then replace it where and how (Parking) and it was found.
