The event time is 2000 until 2030. You only have to show up at the posted coordinates to get credit for attending the event. You do NOT have to participate in the bike ride to get credit. The OPTIONAL bike ride will commence promptly after the event at 2030 (8:30 PM) from the parking lot at the swimming pool and pavilion by the campground (where the coordinates lead you). Helmets are highly encouraged but not required for the ride.
Following the event, I will lead a tour of the top of the mountain which will include both Sunrise and Sunset Points. You should be able to climb the small hills on this short route which will include all of the paved roads on top of the mountain. If anyone wants to make a second or third loop with me, you will be most welcome.
IMPORTANT!: You will be responsible for your own headlight (and taillight if you so desire). You will not need much of a light as the hazards will be few. An LED headlight should suffice. We will have a safety briefing before we start the ride.
There will be no planned threats to our fun. This will be a rain or shine event. We will have a log to sign for the event. Turns out that the night of the event will be a full Blue Moon! Enjoy.
PS: Please be welcome to bring any snacks for the event or for after the ride. Be reminded that the park closes at 2200 (10:00 PM).
