Nestled in the lower Southeast corner of Spokane County in the city of Fairfield is this out of the way museum.
The Lost Dutchman Gortsema Museum established in 2006 to show of the families huge collection of anitique farming and general living items from past years. The main building is 1000 square feet filled from floor to ceiling with most items neatly displayed in cases and on shelves.
Their motto is "Stop In. If someone is home we'll let you in".
2015 was the inaugural year of Spokane Geocache Tour. This Spokane County tour sent geocachers on a trip through Spokane History, finding caches in areas of historical significance. Visiting urban and rural gems, historic farming communities, forts and geological marvels. The Spokane History Geocache Tour rewarded those who completed with a commemorative Geocoin featuring the native Spokane Salish language.
