Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long, strange trip it's been.

Geocache Description:

This cache salutes Bob Weir and the last performance of the true American Band, and is placed near the parking area of Weirs Rapids. Playing in the Band was one of his greatest songs, appearing on his first solo album in 1972.

Bob Weir is one of the founding members of a band called Mother McCree's Uptown Jug Champions. You might know them better when they were called The Warlocks, or maybe better yet as the Grateful Dead. Though early on, Bob's guitar playing was questioned, he worked hard and became the legend that he is today. Bob once said that he was just a member of the band, nothing special. This cache reflects that...it is just a bottle with a log in it, barely hidden from muggles when placed correctly.

Bob

Less than one month ago, the Grateful Dead played what could possibly be ( I rule nothing out) their last concert together in the same stadium that they played their last concert with the late Jerry Garcia...Soldier Field in Chicago. Trey Anastasio, frontman, lead singer and guitarist of the band Phish, filled in for Jerry. Bob will still perform with his band, Ratdog.
