Famous Hampshire Residents No. 6 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

mellers: I've given this one a lot of thought.

It's important to me that anyone solving my puzzles and finding my caches has a good experience and I put this one here, because of the stunning views that GZ afforded (while steering clear of SSSIs). However, I appreciate that not every caching experience is like skipping through a magical wonderland and I hope that anyone who doesn't enjoy it, feels that they can honestly say so and tell me why. Honest feedback is helpful and gives me the opportunity to amend things. Now, while I understand completely that any finder accepts responsibility for their own safety at GZ, the last log did concern me.

GZ itself is in fact, some metres (both in height and distance) from passing traffic, but of course limitations in the accuracy of any domestic GPS equipment (including dedicated machines and phones) mean that a finder could be directed to stray too close to traffic if they're searching in the wrong place. This appears to have happened here.

I wouldn't like to search for a cache under the circumstances described in the previous log so for this reason, I've decided to archive this one. This means that I'm not potentially putting anyone at risk and I feel happier about that [:)]. Many thanks to all who solved the puzzle and found the cache (and who enjoyed the views). The cache container has been removed.

Happy caching [:)].
