There are courses for many different ages and abilities and it kicks off every year on the first Sunday in October. From kids obstacle courses, wheelchair events to the traditional walking and running, 5km, 10km and half marathon events. There is something for everyone although some age restrictions apply to the main events. The minimum ages are participants are: 5km - 10 yrs 10km - 12 yrs Half marathon - 15 yrs TEAM EVENTS For your staff, clients, group or club this event is a great team building opportunity. There are 2 team challenges available. The Corporate Team challenge and the Social Team challenge. The corporate Team is made up of four people minimum. The Social Teams have differing numbers depending on which event so see website for more details. KIDS COMMANDO CHALLENGE The Kids Commando challenge is very popular. In this event you will start with a run followed by numerous obstacles, finishing with a run. There will be 2 obstacle courses – one for 5 to 8 year olds and another for those aged from 9 to 12 years. This event will be achievable for all levels of fitness. Everyone starts with a 1km run - then a variety of other activities such as caterpillar crawl, pole twister, tyre dash, sack hop and more. Finally another 1km run to finish. All races start and finish at Flagstaff Park, Commodore Ave, Hamilton. Check out the hamiltonhalfmarathon.org.nz for more info. The location of the cache is at about the 4km mark along the 10km and the Half Marathon course. It’s the first drink station the runners will get to. Plenty of space for a quick park and grab, but be smart and safe with where you park. Bring own pen(cil) as cache is small. C- There are 3 main running events: distances of 5km, _?_km and the half marathon (21km) D- What is the minimum age you can register and compete in the Half Marathon event? E- In the Kids Commando challenge they start with a _km run before going through the obstacles. F- In 20__, the Half Marathon course was changed to include the northern Flagstaff and Horsham Downs areas.
