Geocache Description:

Along the Beaver Creek Trail

We placed this cache along one of the trails that we used to ski in the winter. We got too old to ski any more but it is still a good place to take an easy hike, bike ride, ski or snowshoe. The trail starts down by Yellow Pine but you don’t have to take it all the way. We started at Shingle Creek picnic area. There is a recreation fee if you park here. We ended up parking on the road and walking in (we have a senior pass). We passed some ponds where the trail was a little muddy in spots. I suppose you could try to find the cache in winter by either skiing of snowshoeing. Since it is under a large evergreen it might be accessible. Dogs are allowed on odd days. We checked out another way to get to the cache. Turn at mile marker 10 and go south, from the trail markers it is less than a tenth of a mile to the cache.

You will be looking for quite a large LOG. The actual container is inside of the LOG. The end of the log that pivots, is without bark.
