They have been making movies in Kanab since 1924, almost as long as there have been movies. The first was The Deadwood Coach. The first one you may have heard of if you're not a hardcore film buff is Stagecoach which was John Wayne's first big success.
Both the original and newer versions of the Planet of the Apes movies were shot here.
The most recent movies filmed in Kanab as of this writing are John Carter and an episode of Dr Who. You can check out the full list of all the movies made in Kanab at the museum's web site and the web site of the annual Western Legends Roundup.

Kanab has its own Little Hollywood Walk of Fame commenmorating the heyday of film making in the area. You can pick up a brochure inside the museum to find the plaques.
The cache is outside the museum and available 24 hours a day. Plan your visit during the museum's hours to check out all the cool movie memorabilia. Better yet, come find this cache in Auguest during the Western Legends Roundup and actually meet the stars.
Either way enjoy the cache and a stroll down memory lane of movie magic in Southern Utah.
