This Lost History series is a trip down memory lane at many of Lost2011’s archived caches. The caches are placed at previous and familiar locations, especially for active cachers in the last 4 years, yet I have tried hard to ensure a fresh hunt when searching, due to slightly different coordinates, enabling a different experience.
I hope you enjoy this series and discover previously unknown facts and occurrences about each particular cache, including how they came into being, and their eventual demise.
There are 26 film pots to find (A-Z), each with a bonus number which can be collected to help achieve the D5/T1.5 bonus cache for the real dedicated among you. To add to the challenge, these caches will only be in place for the recommended minimum life span, so don’t delay, get cracking today!
--------------------------------------------------
I’ve always enjoyed creating the Christmas themed caches, so thought it was fitting to create a bonus cache of one of my favourites type of cache. The idea behind it was simple, yet different - have a cache where people can receive and gift a Christmas card at their choosing. Inside certain cards would be additional gifts, such as lottery tickets, or £5 notes, which were issued as random acts of kindness.
One cacher liked the idea so much, they asked for permission to use it in their area, which was also very successful. What does 2015 have in store? Plans are underway but at this stage I am considering something different, so we shall see.
Finally, a special thank you to everyone who has found one of my caches. To date, there has been over 1850 unique usernames, of which there has been over 7,200 find on my caches, and a further 534 favourite points awarded, so thank you so much and I hope you enjoyed this rather large series. For some, you may have been able to complete the challenge cache for needing to find a cache beginning with each letter of the alphabet, whilst others may have needed the D/T rating that this cache provides. Whatever your reasons for finding this cache, thank you!
