Geocache Description:

The Barrow Line


The Barrow Line links the main line of the Grand Canal with the River Barrow at Athy, some 29 miles almost due south. This is an ideal walking path and continues all the way to St. Mullins.

The Ballymanus Bridge


Ballymanus Bridge, after finding the cache take a walk under the bridge and have a look at the rope marks left by the tow ropes which were use to pull the horse drawn barges.

A Mink farm - is responsible for the complex of compounds and sheds on the west bank at Ballymanus Bridge.
