Geocache Description:

The Barrow Line

The Barrow Line links the main line of the Grand Canal with the River Barrow at Athy, some 29 miles almost due south. This is an ideal walking path and continues all the way to St. Mullins.

A Tribute to Patrick Kavanagh

Vicarstown

There is a Heritage Trail in Vicarstown an area strewn with historical buildings. The famous parliamentarian and orator, Henry Grattan lived here and the village benefited from his kindness. Vicarstown is a lovely small village on the Barrow Line. It's always a great place to spend some time looking at the boats.

Congratulations to Zivaa.CZ on the FTF!
