Geocache Description:

Almost the end of August and with that the end of the summer, or what passes as summer in these parts at least. What better way to finish the summer than some geocaching?! So whether you still need the event souvenir, need a reason to get out of bed on a Saturday or just fancy a hot breakfast, all whilst enjoying a bit of craic and geobanter, why not come along?

The event will take place from 9am - 9:30am at St George's Market in the main seating area (the one with the metal tables not picnic tables, see picture above). There are several entrances into the market, I have marked the closest one to the event location as a trailhead. The FTF draw will take place at  9:25am with an unregistered FTF geocoin for the winner, but the log will still be available until 9:30, after which you can stay on and chat, peruse what the market has to offer or head off on whatever caching adventures you have planned. There are no access nor age restrictions so all are welcome, if you are a visitor in our fair city you are more than welcome to join. There's even free Wifi for you to log your attendance!

St George's Market
St George’s Market is one of Belfast’s oldest attractions. It was built between 1890 and 1896 and is one of the best markets in the UK and Ireland. It has been selected for numerous local and national titles and awards for its fresh, local produce and great atmosphere. It holds a weekly Friday Variety Market, the City Food and Craft Market on Saturdays and the Sunday Market. It also hosts a range of events throughout the year.

Saturday is the City Food and Craft Market offering a huge range of local, continental and specialty foods including meat and fish, cheese, coffee beans, tapas and organic products. There is no obligation to purchase any food to participate in the event.
