This cache is obviously not at the posted coordinates. You will get a pretty view of the lake from there however - though I don’t recommend stopping at that spot.
This geocache was previously published with a very different puzzle & name, but after five years I decided I wanted the hide to be different than just a complex cipher. I had the idea for it many years ago, but haven’t found a good spot for another hide, so I figured why not rework this one? Anyway, good luck!
I was shopping at my favorite local supermarket Fortunato’s the other day when I noticed a crumpled piece of paper lying on the ground. Being a conscientious citizen who abhors littering, I picked it up without a second thought. No trash can was nearby so I simply slipped it into my pocket and continued on with my grocery trip.
Upon arriving home I realized I still had the sheet of paper and removed it from my pocket for immediate disposal. As I unfolded it something caught my eye and I placed the piece on my dining room table to examine it further.
At first glance it appeared to be a simple shopping list. I looked over it to check for funny items or misspellings as I often do when I find lists like these. Nothing appeared out of the ordinary here, but something about it made me feel like it wasn’t just a normal list of items meant to be purchased. Maybe it was the playful handwriting, the whimsical notes, the oddly large amounts of basic ingredients listed, or perhaps the strange markings along the sides of the paper. Whatever it was, I knew I had to keep it until its secrets were divulged to me.
