Note, preferred parking for the park is behind the fire station.
6/4/2024 - The cache needed to be relocated out of the tree where it was originally placed as we kept loosing containers. The cache is now about 20 feet away from the tree and the container type has been changed along with the hint. Please replace the cache so that nothing is readily visible. The difficulty and terrain have not been changed.
1/18/2018 - The Coin Challenge has ended and as far as we know, there are no more coins available. The container has gone missing several times, so we have changed it for a different type. Please replace the lid so it is threaded inside the container to keep water out. Thanks
DESCRIPTION:
To celebrate 15 years of geocaching Oregon's Mt. Hood Territory has created the Cache the Stash Challenge (CtSC) in the home of geocaching, the place where it all began The CtSC is actually a series of six community coin challenges that will be launched the morning of Saturday, Aug. 8th, 2015. Five hundred (500) coins have been minted for each of the six community challenges (Canby, Damascus, Estacada, North Clackamas, Sandy, West Linn). All six coins will fit together to for a puzzle cube. It's pretty cool... You can check it out here.
Here are the caches for Damascus challenge.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Find the caches for each of the community challenges.
- Log them.
- Write down the code word found in each cache container on the corresponding Code Sheet/Passport.
- When you've completed a community challenge, or the entire CtSC, fill out the rest of the information on the Code Sheet/Passport and redeem it to claim your coin(s).
- In the event that a community cache is missing, or a cacher is unable to physically access a cache, up to three (3) non-challenge local area caches may be substituted. Instead of writing a code word on the log sheet, you are to write the GC # of the substitute cache(s).
Copies of individual Code Sheets are available on-line.
For the weekend of the Cache the Stash Challenge - Aug. 8-9, 2015 - you can bring completed Code Sheets/Passports to the Registration Booth at the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Oregon City (a.k.a. CtSC Field HQ). After Aug. 9th coins can be claimed here.
Note - We respectfully request that coins be limited to one per household. For a full list of CtSC Rule click here.
