Geocache Description:

One of Frazer's favourite places to go for a walk with his big brother and cousins. Can be a cache and dash on a long journey but ideal for a rest and walk along the Old Colliery Wood walkway.

ย

This is Frazer's from team Camfraz first ever geocache. The location is great as a stop off point on the A1 from Newcastle to Edinburgh. The layby is near the cache and is just off the main A1 road. The cache is place in the woods and is accessible from the wee wooden seat which is one of Frazer's favourite picnic places. This is also the start of a great walk along the Old Colliery Woods just be aware in the woods there is a variety of wildlife including rabbits and deers (so geodogs please be on leads.) Frazer has chosen this location for his first ever geocache as it's one of his favourite places to explore and he loves the Easter egg hunts we have here every year. Once you've found the cache continue along the walk and you'll find it as mystical as he does - great photo opportunities. Ground can become claggy but not too bad to walk.

The cache is a medium tupperware box with the original contents of:-

small teddy bear to send love

chewing ย gum to make you laugh ('joke')

penny to give you luck

three wee lucky bag toys for your journey ahead

Frazer Hunter Wills is the best GEOCOIN (this is the coin original cache.)
