This is the first of two caches along this trail. When in Ennistymon, find the Falls Hotel (go to the town square and go past the library/"Leabharlann"). Opposite the school (of which you can only see the portacabins) is a public car park. Alternatively you can drive into the hotel car park and leave your car there. Once parked in either place, find your way to the river which is on your left. When you stand on the shore of the Inagh river, you can see the cascades to the left. Looking at the river, turn right and walk past the hotel (gym). Follow the trail until you come to an ancient stone bridge and a turnoff to the right. Follow the trail to the right along the Ballymacarvan River for a bit. Walk slowly to give the GPS time to catch up. You will have to leave the main path to follow a smaller trail up to your right. Look out for fairy doors along the way!
It is a small square Geocaching container you are looking for. Apologies if the coordinates jump or seem out. There is a lot of tree cover.
If there was a lot of rainfall, the trail along the second river can be flooded in different places, so you can either walk through the water with your absolutely waterproof walking boots or wellies, or take a little detour via the slopes (careful, might be slippy!).
