Geocache Description:

In June 2012, the Oak Ridge Town Council voted to annex the northern portion of the Cascades Preserve, a 130 acre nature preserve, as part of an agreement between the town and Guilford County.  The southern part of the preserve was already within the town limits.  This agreement was made to add to the recreational “opportunities” in Oak Ridge.  I read that as a Geocaching opportunity

By now you have read enough about the Cascades Preserve so let's just go caching.

This cache is near an old roadbed.  I suppose it could have been an Interstate in it's day.  This one was covered by sticks when I hid it.  I would hope that future finders re-cover it.
