Nachdem man vom Dorf Aldein in Richtung Göllersee gewandert ist, nimmt man den angenehmen Forstweg durch den Mischwald, der Markierung “R” folgend, die uns nach rund 30 Minuten zum beliebten Aussichtspunkt “Rotwand” führt. Von hier aus hat man einen herrlichen Rundblick auf das Südtiroler Unterland. Ganz im Süden sehen wir den Monte Bondone und die noch schneebedeckte Paganella, dann den Mendelkamm mit dem Roen und dem Penegal, dahinter die Ultner Berge. Und im Tal unten Kaltern, ein blauer Fleck vom Kalterer See und, im Vordergrund, Auer.

After you walked from the village Aldino towards Göllersee, take the pleasant forest path through the mixed forest. If you follow the marking "R" you will arrive after about 30 minutes to the popular lookout point "Rotwand". From here you have a magnificent panoramic view of the South Tyrolean lowlands. In the far south, we see the Monte Bondone and the still snow-covered Paganella, then the Mendelkamm with the Roen and the Penegal, behind the Ulten mountains. And in the valleybelow Kaltern, a smal blue piece of landscape from Lake-Caldaro and, in the foreground, Auer.
Attenzione: Si prega di non lasciare che i bambini corrono avanti da soli, perché al punto di osservazione è molto pericoloso. C'è una parete di roccia molto ripida. A poche centinaia di metri di profondità.
