Creswick Well was sunk by early white settlers John Creswick and his son, Charles, in 1866. This well served the local residents with water during numerous devastating droughts.
With his son, Charles, Creswick sank this well to provide a much-needed water supply, subsequently used by local residents during the numerous droughts to hit the region.
A nearby memorial was erected by the local community, recognising and appreciating the grateful initiative and service provided by Creswick in sinking the well.
