Geocache Description:

The Shambles is York's most famous street, once it was the street of the butchers but now it is the street of the tourists! Houses lean together over the street and it is said that you can shake hands with your neighbour who lives opposite by leaning out of the upstairs windows.  Very close by is Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma Gate, the shortest street with the longest name. Once scolding wives were brought here for a beating!

Connecting the two is a little used (by visitors) snickleway that is home to this cache. You're has many of these snickleways and they are very easy to miss if you don't know that are there. Used as shortcuts by York people for hundreds of years.

While this is a quiet area it is still used by muggle so so beware. You'll need tweezers and a pencil.

Pop into OG Games. Just opened. Fantastic games shop. Tell them we sent you!
