There are two lovely parts to this trail system, one through the forest and one around the lake. The area is a hidden treasure close to town. On the lake during migration and summer you may see many waterfowl including geese, ducks (mallards, grebes, pintails, teals, and more). Watch for beaver on the lake and occasionally a moose nearby as well.
There are many places to sit and contemplate the natural beauty of the area. There are several interpretive signs along the trail. Enjoy your walk.
