Geocache Description:

This is the 1st cache hidden in the park and slightly away from the muggles. Hope you enjoy the environment here.

Opened in 1996, the Dr. Carlos D'Assumpção Park was built to commemorate Dr. Carlos d'Assumpção under the conception of landscape designer Francisco Caldeira Cabral. A promenade in Portuguese pavement and flanked by tall trees runs all the way to the end of the Park. The Park is thoughtfully landscaped to create an atmosphere of European-style gardens. When visitors feel tired, there are benches along the promenade to take a rest. There are also leisure and amusement facilities around for them to unwind from the hectic city life.
