Opened in 1996, the Dr. Carlos D'Assumpção Park was built to commemorate Dr. Carlos d'Assumpção under the conception of landscape designer Francisco Caldeira Cabral.
A computerized musical fountain lies at the southern tip of the Park. It shapes like a fish and has a metallic platform with 70 nozzles to jet water to the rhythm of the music. The musical fountain show is scheduled for 4:00pm and 8:30 during weekdays and at 11:00am, 5:00pm, 7:00pm and 9:00pm during Saturdays and Sundays.
