She believed she had been bumped on the head by a piece of the sky “the sky is falling”. Chicken Little in great fright decides to tell the king the sky is falling and gathers her friends Henny Penny, Goosey Loosey, Ducky Lucky and Turkey Lurkey along the way. They all set off to tell the king and along the way they meet Foxy Loxy. Foxy Loxy thinks that all his Christmas’ have come at once and inevitably Chicken Little, Henny Penny, Goosey Loosey, Ducky Lucky and Turkey Lurkey end up on Foxy Loxy’s dinner plate. They never did get to tell the King the sky was falling.
The cache is named after this childhood story. Nearby to the cache is a bridge. You will also have seen a number of geese and ducks in this area. These geese are no ordinary geese. Occasionally, I have been stopped on this bridge, not by traffic lights but rather a gaggle of geese deciding to cross the road to the other side of the ponds. Most locals are aware of the geese crossing the road and wait patiently for them to cross. My mum has also been known to get out of her car and escort the geese safely across the road, much to the delight of other road users. These geese have right of way and a traffic sign has been erected especially for them just prior to the bridge. I have attached a picture of the sign for you.
I hope you enjoy the cache and the geese (don't forget your bread). The cache is a round 400mL container with room for small swaps.
