Geocache Description:

This cache is named after the arcade game ‘Frogger” I used to play as a teen.  Frogger and Pacman were two of my favourite games and we used to have to play them in an arcade on a machine which was bigger than my coffee table.  These machines were around before Playstations, Wii’s and the Xbox.

Frogger was created in 1981 in the golden age of video arcade games.  The whole object of Frogger was to get your frogs over a busy road without getting squished and then navigating a river which was full of alligators and turtles which were out to get your frog.  The frog used floating logs to navigate his way across the water.  You had to get your frog into his frog home in a certain amount of time.

The Frogger game evolved with technology with the Commodore 64 and the Atari 2600.  It was later sold as a tabletop version with Pac-Man, Galaxian and Donkey Kong. In 1997 another version of Frogger moved into the PlayStation and in 1998 it moved into Sega and Game Boy.  In 2006 Frogger could be played on mobile phones and on Xbox.

The cache container is an "other" and there is no room for swaps.  It is a sign and smile only.
